Tara in a red bikiniThere may be hope for Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears after all. Tara Reid, who was at one point following the exact same path as the two starlets are now, seems to be back and better than ever.

Tara recently sat down with OK! Magazine and spoke candidly about her changed ways. After ditching the Hollywood scene and friends for a healthier lifestyle, she explained: “I was on Hollywood near all the clubs but it was too much and wore me down. I’d had enough of that in my life - I’ve been there and done that and it was no good for me.” The ‘American Pie’ actress now resides in a peaceful beach house close to her family.

"My lifestyle has improved which has changed everything. I’ve bought a beach house right on the ocean so every morning I ride my bike and go jogging. My parents live two houses down from me and my brother lives two miles away so I eat dinner with them - I love it.”

Tara producing/starring in new comedy

Tara realizing a dreamAfter a relaxing vacation to Australia, Tara is set to star in and executive produce a Los Angeles-based romantic comedy titled "Honestly."

While in Australia, she realized one of her greatest dreams after swimming with dolphins. Tara got the chance to get up close and personal with porpoises Gemma and Nila at Sydney, Australia's Sea World, and describes the experience as "one of the most magical moments of my life."

She gleamed, "Everyone has dreams of what they want to do (in life) and that's one of the things I've always wanted to do... and never accomplished."

Tara botches New Year's Eve countdown

Tara needs math lessonsTara rang in the New Year early Monday from Chicago's Marriott luxury hotel with a rambling countdown that left celebrants in tears of laughter. Literally.

"Here we go," the 31-year-old star of "American Pie" cried before launching her 60-second countdown that skipped 57 and jumped from 20 to 10.

During the countdown, Tara was yelling: "20, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5," she said, before correcting the countdown with "14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Happy New Year!" Hopefully she has someone else checking her credit card bills, if not, people could charge her whatever they wanted to.

The hilarious video originated on a page by actor Efren Ramirez, best known for his role as Pedro Sanchez in "Napoleon Dynamite."

Tara showin' her bod in St. BartsTara Reid has been snapped by paparrazi and cingular camera phone carrying fans alike, enjoying herself on the Caribbean island of St Barts. She is reportedly staying at one of the islands many luxury hotels.

The actress is getting ready to star in TV's Celebrity Big Brother next month, showing off her body.

She had undergone plastic surgery in 2004, but both her boob job and her liposuction went awry, with even Tara admitting that her belly became 'the most ripply, bulgy thing'.

Her travel show, Taradise, on E!, did not help either, with her drinking leading to a bit of a beer belly.

Tara takes a spill!

Photographers outside London's Kabaret club caught Reid in mid-fall as she exited the hot spot in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday. Luckily, the club has its own "Star Catcher" stationed on the sidewalk.

Tara was cleaned up and looking good there for a minute. Now reports are coming in from London, and it looks as though she is back to her old tricks.

Still apparently struggling with alcohol issues, the once B actress is now relegated to the D List, as she appears in clubs drunk once again.

Carson Daly says he supports Tara

Back in the day, when Carson Daly hosted MTV's Total Request Live, he was for a time engaged to Tara – and he gave her a pat on Carson Dalythe back by saying he's proud of his ex for speaking out about her plastic surgery.

"I saw her on the Today show recently talking about the whole thing, and I know how nervous she gets for stuff like that – it's funny when you know somebody so well – but I thought that she handled herself great, and I really commend her for her honesty and stepping up to the plate," Daly, 33, told People.

Carson and Tara dated for 17 months before splitting in 2001. Tara recently went public about her struggle with botched breast-implant and liposuction surgeries.

Tara Reid ready to be taken, um, seriously

Los Angeles Daily News (CA)- Tara Reid is tired of the way her image is presented to the public. "I feel like I graduated a long time ago, but the media won't give me my certificate," she complains. "It's like, OK —she's done four movies this year. Leave her alone."

Certainly a lot of attention has been expended on Reid's hard-partying ways and her breasts (as in her notorious wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet a couple years ago and her recent disclosure about having had to have correction of a past enhancement surgery). She acknowledges, "I've made a lot of mistakes, but I've learned from them. I'm older, my focus is different, and I'm stronger than I used to be."

If the idea of Tara Reid negotiating a Russian accent seems nipped from the same implausibly derisible files that gave us Elisabeth Shue storing the notes for cold fusion in her bra in The Saint, you’re on the right track for the self-serious but really rather silly, internationally lensed suspense thriller Silent Partner.

Produced by Oscar-winning Crash producer Bob Yari and co-written and directed by James Deck, the film centers on a young CIA analyst, Gordon Patrick (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ Nick Moran, coming off a bit like a young Willem Dafoe), who gets sent to Russia to try turn up some information on the death (suicide or murder?) of the minister of finance, Mikhail Garin (Georgy Martirosian), and his connection to a loan program for an American corporation, Langdon Industries. In the course of his consultation with his ambassadorial liaison (Gregg Henry, breathing some snarkiness into the movie), Patrick encounters a series of investigatory dead-ends before hooking up with Dina Nevskaya (Reid), a steely prostitute who might hold secrets that will illuminate important political corruptions. Yadda, yadda, yadda… life imperilment and other stuff ensues.

Terrell Owens Suicidal over Tara Reid Breast Reduction

IRVING, Texas - Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night shortly after speaking on the phone with actress Tara Reid, a source for the Cowboys revealed yesterday. Mr. Owens apparently became distraught after Ms. Reid had told him that rumors about her breast reduction surgery were true.

According to a police report leaked to a Dallas television station, Mr. Owens took "a large number" of hydrocodone, a narcotic painkiller, after he had spoken to Ms. Reid. He was discovered later in his hyperbaric chamber, mumbling "34-C, goddamn, 34-C," by his companion-publicist, Kim Etheredge, who called 911. The police report also stated that Ms. Etheredge had attempted to pry two pills from Mr. Owens' mouth and that Mr. Owens had answered "hell yes, wouldn't you" when he was asked if he had tried to harm himself.

While some Internet sites hypothesize about bodywork Tara Reid may or may not have done, one photog took it upon himself to go straight to the source.

Reid lunched with friends at the chic Los Angeles eatery the Ivy yesterday. When the "American Pie" star went to retrieve her car from the valet, one paparazzo asked, "Are the rumors true about the breast reduction?" Reid quickly shot the question down with, "Alright, good night guys."

Tara usually gets along with the paparazzi, unless, of course, she doesn't. Last month Reid told photogs, "Everyone hates you paparazzi but when you're nice, I don't hate you guys because you're nice to me. The day you're not nice I'm gonna f***ing kick your ass."
